This is an interesting take on the ways in which socialization and biology intertwine to create society. It is also an interesting take on how we might change social systems in the future.
In my classes we discuss that three elements contribute to human interaction: nature, nurture and choice. We also discuss how sociological imagination is the connection of our own biographies with the collective history of human beings at group levels. Global empathy would surely change the world.
I may use this video in future 101 classes. Not sure I agree with everything in it, but it is thought-provoking. (Thanks to Evan Ravitz for posting this on FaceBook.)
